The 180mm Draper XP1000 VDE Tethered High Leverage Side Cutters offer an excellent mid-range size for general electrical work, providing enhanced leverage whilst remaining manoeuvrable in confined spaces. Manufactured from premium German-forged steel with induction-hardened jaws, these cutters deliver effortless, clean cutting with a maximum capacity of 2.0mm. The off-centred precision-machined pivot pins enable smooth one-handed operation with minimal play, making it easier to cut harder wires with less effort. Tested to 10,000V and certified for live circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, these cutters feature a two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle with safety horns to prevent slipping onto live conductors. The integrated tethered fixing solution ensures compliance with Work at Height Regulations when used with compatible lanyards or wrist straps (sold separately).
