The compact 160mm Draper XP1000 VDE Tethered High Leverage Side Cutters are perfect for precision work in tight spaces and confined electrical installations. Despite their smaller footprint, these cutters maintain the premium quality and performance of the XP1000 range, manufactured from German-forged steel with induction-hardened jaws and a maximum cutting capacity of 2.0mm. The off-centred precision-machined pivot pins enable smooth one-handed operation with minimal play, allowing easier cutting of harder wires even in restrictive working environments. Tested to 10,000V and certified for live circuits up to 1,000V AC and 1,500V DC, these cutters feature a two-part bi-material ergonomic soft grip handle with safety horns to prevent slipping onto live conductors. The integrated tethered fixing solution ensures compliance with Work at Height Regulations when used with compatible lanyards or wrist straps (sold separately).
