The Sealey Schumacher BSCU170 is a professional-grade battery support unit and charger designed for automotive workshops undertaking diagnostic work and ECU reprogramming. This fully automatic microprocessor-controlled unit delivers up to 100A power supply to maintain stable voltage under varying loads during major vehicle ECU reprogramming and diagnostic procedures. Built to meet the demands of modern vehicle electronics, this unit provides 70A continuous output current with the capability to deliver up to 100A maximum for up to 3 minutes when required. The adjustable voltage settings between 13-14.8V ensure precise control during programming operations, whilst the recovery and desulphation mode can restore discharged batteries (above 2V) to almost 100% of their original capacity. Designed for versatility across 12V vehicle battery systems, the BSCU170 is compatible with VRLA (Lead Acid), GEL, AGM/EFB, calcium, start-stop and leisure battery types. Patent-pending thermal runaway protection and advanced charging algorithms ensure fast, safe charging operations. The unit features dual temperature-controlled cooling fans and a durable aluminium case built for workshop environments. Practical features include 5m heavy-duty cables with clamps and Anderson plug for flexible positioning, mounting brackets for installation on vehicle lifts, and automatic conditioning and maintenance mode that allows batteries to be left connected once fully charged. The 2.6m power supply cable provides additional workshop flexibility.
