The Sealey START420 is a heavy-duty battery starter and charger designed for professional garages, workshops and bodyshops. With a maximum starting current of 420A (280A EN) and charging capacity of 60A (40A EN), this robust unit handles all requirements from cars through to light commercial vehicles with battery capacities from 30-700Ah. Built for professional workshop environments, this dual-voltage unit operates on both 12V and 24V systems, making it versatile across a wide range of vehicle types. The switchable charge circuitry provides three charging rates for accurate charge control, whilst the analogue ammeter allows you to monitor charging progress at a glance. Practicality is enhanced through thoughtful design features including large wheels for easy mobility around the workshop floor and 2.1m cable and clamp length for comfortable reach. The unit incorporates polarity protection via a 110A fuse to safeguard against incorrect connections. Note that performance is dependent on connection to an adequate, clean 230V 16A electrical supply.
