The lithium-ion batteries deliver all-round better performance than standard Ni-Cd/Ni-MH cells, maintaining a higher energy density level (generally twice that of a Ni-Cd cell) for more battery power per gram. With a flat discharge curve, they perform better for longer with no memory effect, meaning these batteries can recover from a deep discharge with no tendency to reduce overall capacity.
