The Sealey Bench or Engine Stand Adaptor is a specialist mounting solution designed for workshops and garages working with VW and Porsche air-cooled engines. This versatile adaptor provides complete 360° access to the engine, making it ideal for comprehensive rebuilds, maintenance work, and detailed inspections of classic VW and Porsche powerplants. Manufactured from heavy gauge steel tubing with a powder paint finish for rust resistance, this adaptor is compatible with VW derived air-cooled 4-cylinder engines ranging from 1200cc through to 1900cc capacity, including Porsche 912 and 356 models. The adaptor bolts securely to either left or right engine case halves, allowing full access whether working on fully assembled or disassembled engines. The dual-mounting capability offers genuine workshop flexibility. It can be mounted directly to a workbench using the supplied bracket for permanent installation, or attached to most engine stands with a 60mm diameter head tube receiver (compatible with all Sealey stands except geared type).
