Draper DCM401 Digital Clamp Meter
The Draper DCM401 Digital Clamp Meter is a versatile auto and manual ranging diagnostic tool designed for electrical testing and fault-finding across commercial and domestic installations. This comprehensive clamp meter combines multiple testing functions including voltage, current, resistance, diode, continuity, capacitance, frequency, duty cycle and temperature measurement in a single compact unit. With a maximum jaw opening diameter of 36mm, the DCM401 accommodates most standard cables and conductors found in typical electrical work. The meter measures AC current up to 600A across four ranges, whilst handling both AC and DC voltage measurements up to 600V. Resistance testing extends to 40MO, and the integrated temperature probe covers an impressive range from -20°C to 1000°C, making it suitable for HVAC diagnostics and thermal troubleshooting. Practical features include a backlit LCD screen for working in dimly lit conditions, an inspection light for close-up work, and automatic power-off to preserve battery life. The data hold function allows readings to be frozen for recording in awkward positions.
