The Draper BCI6 Smart Charger and Battery Maintainer is a portable 6A intelligent charging solution designed for maintaining and reconditioning 6V and 12V vehicle batteries. This versatile smart charger goes beyond basic charging functionality, offering a comprehensive 10-step automatic process that can activate, analyse and recondition deep discharged batteries, making it an invaluable workshop tool for automotive professionals and fleet operators. Engineered for year-round reliability, the charger operates effectively in winter temperatures as low as -20°C and features a dedicated winter charging mode to protect batteries in freezing conditions. It safely charges and maintains both Lead-Acid and Lithium batteries at full capacity for extended periods without risk of overcharging, making it ideal for seasonal vehicles, classic cars, motorcycles and vans that require long-term battery maintenance. The charger's compatibility extends across multiple battery types including WET, MF, Ca/Ca, AGM, GEL and LiFePO4 batteries. A particularly useful feature is the 12V DC power supply function, which enables battery removal during charging without losing critical vehicle settings such as radio presets and ECU data. The unit charges EFB batteries when operated in 12V STD mode, whilst 6V compatibility is limited to standard wet/lead acid batteries only.
